STUDENTS’ COUNCIL
SESSION: 2024-25
PMSHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya CRPF Nagpur had a dynamic and productive session of the selection of Students council this year. The election and final selection for the Students’ Council was held on 2 August 2024 and sixty-two students were elected. All the elected students were conferred designation badges and sashes in the Investiture ceremony on 7 August 2024. The members later took oath to abide by the rules and regulations of the Vidyalaya. The members swore to fulfil their duties honestly, to stand up against wrong doings and injustice and help every student of the Vidyalaya. The council, comprising representatives from various houses, pledged to work collaboratively to upscale the school’s environment, organize events, and address students’ concerns. The spirit of democracy was followed in the election of the student council. The Formation of Student Council was conducted meticulously, and fairness was ensured throughout the process.
The objective of appointing the students Council is to provide a platform to the students to develop leadership qualities by organizing and carrying out school activities and co-curricular projects. In addition to planning events that contribute to uphold the spirit of the Vidyalaya and community welfare, the Students’ Council also helps in maintaining discipline in the Vidyalaya. A conduit of communication between the authority and the students, its role cannot be undermined. It is the voice of the student’s body that helps student’s ideas, interests, and concerns reach the authority through their peers.
Orientation Program and meetings:
The Student Council organized an orientation program for new students, helping them adjust to the school environment and understand the rules and regulations. Meetings at regular intervals have been planned to understand the students concerns properly.
Conclusion:
The Student Council of KV CRPF Nagpur would make significant contributions to the school community. Through various activities and initiatives, the council would work towards creating a positive and inclusive environment. The efforts of the council members would not
only benefit the students but would also set a strong foundation for future councils.
Acknowledgments:
The council expressed its gratitude to the school administration, teachers, and students for their continuous support and cooperation. Special thanks to the Principal for his guidance and encouragement.
Recommendations of the students ’council for the Future:
- Increase student involvement in council activities.
- Introduce more skill-based workshops and extracurricular activities.
- Strengthen the student feedback mechanism for continuous improvement.
- Recognize their responsibility towards smooth functioning of the Vidyalaya.
- Be a role model for other students.
